psychotherapist, coach, conflict resolution trainer/dialogue mediator and movie maker
Vassiliki is currently working as a coordinator of the social unit of the Greek Council for Refugees. Before that she was working for the Greek Ministry of Education in collaboration with UNICEF for the integration of refugee children in the Greek public schools. She works internationally (Greece, US, Cyprus, Palestine, Israel, Mexico) as a therapist, trainer and facilitator in Process Oriented Psychology and Conflict Resolution.
She served as a member of the Greek Parliament (2012-May 2016) and member of the Parliamentary Committee of The Council of Europe (2014- 2016) with main focus on human rights and the refugee-immigration issue.
She holds a Diploma and a Masters in Process Oriented Psychology, a BA in International Studies and a Masters in Conflict Resolution (Portland State University).
She produced and directed with Bushra Azzouz the documentary “Women of Cyprus” on the Cypriot conflict through the eyes of Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot women, during the period of the referendum for the Annan Plan (70 min.) www.womenofcyprusfilm.com. The documentary has been screened in several countries like Cyprus, Greece, USA, Turkey, Palestine, Israel, Mexico, UK.
–2004-2009: facilitation of meetings between Greek and Turkish Cypriot women for the creation of the documentary: “Women of Cyprus”
-2009-212: facilitation of discussion and public dialogue after the screening of the documentary “Women of Cyprus”, Cyprus, Greece, USA, Palestine, Israel, Mexico, UK.
-2007- today: Empowering workshops for women in Mexico, Palestine, Israel, Greece, Cyprus.
-2000-today: facilitation of open forums and public dialogue on issues of democracy, human rights, refugee and migrants, the Greek crisis, the pandemic of Covid-19.
-2007: group facilitation between students from Morocco and USA, for the creation of the documentary Crossing Borders (crossingbordersfilm.org), Casablanca, Marrakesh, Tangier, Fez, Morocco.
-1991: She has worked as plateau photographer for the movie of Pantelis Voulgaris “Quiet Days of August”.
